UNIVERSAL CONSULTING SERVICES is Hiring a Technical Editor Near Fort Detrick, MD
UCS is looking for a Technical Editor in support of our AFMRA client running integrated product testing, evaluation, and assessment. The Technical Editor will be responsible for editing and production of test documents and other published or printed documents. Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Produces high quality OMT&E test documents and reports to both internal and external customers. Performs technical editing and final proofing of reports.
- Oversees internal documents review process and monitors timelines for timely submission of deliverables to customers. Notifies lead analyst and test director of potential delivery delays before suspense dates are missed.
- Operates binding, plotter and printing machines to produce reports.
- Uses sophisticated publishing and printing software to produce documents.
- Documents follow established OMT&E templates and QA routing adheres to established timelines for vetting and production.
Best qualified candidates will have a baccalaureate degree or higher.
They will have four to six years’ experience in editing or document production.
In addition, they will have a record of DAU course completion in classes and continuous learning in the following areas: test, acquisition, systems engineering, market research, and/or requirements courses.
